NRA-based Basic Pistol Shooting Course (Laser Only; No live fire)
Short Description:
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This variant of the BoPS course does not have a live fire experience at the range. Qualifications are performed using SIRT pistols and specialized computer vision software. If you are interested in a private class at home, please let us know! This class does not include an NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting certificate as it does not have the live fire exercise, but you will receive the NRA Pistol Marksmanship Simulator Training completion certificate as those requirements will also be met.
More Details:
This course takes place in a traditional classroom environment. This course may be completed in a single day format or over several days with smaller blocks of instruction. Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete simulated laser-based training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination.
